Diagnostic toolchains are essential for tasks such as flashing firmware, reading and writing data, and performing calibrations. Manufacturing diagnostics is at the heart of what we do. We've specified, designed, configured, programmed, and commissioned numerous systems, including not only diagnostic tests and sequences but also integrations with facilities like Wheel Alignment, Camera/Radar, and Rolling Roads. Our extensive experience extends to sub-assembly testing and integrating with backend systems via APIs, enabling the retrieval of build data and the transmission of AsBuilt data. We excel in crafting requirements specifications for system integrations and end-of-line test specifications.
Leveraging our extensive experience in OEM, automation, and manufacturing has given us a significant advantage in aftersales diagnostics. Our offerings include project management, requirements specification, integration development, OTX authoring, and tooling supply, among other services. Since 2019 I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Andy Pitt from Optimotive on several new vehicle projects, where his expert guidance and teams performance has consistently been outstanding.
For the Grenadier Project, Optimotive played a pivotal role in the initial software development phase, ensuring a seamless future transition from engineering to manufacturing environment, which is often the Achilles’ heel of many organisations. Optimotive expertise was instrumental in manufacturing when it came to implementation of diagnostics hardware and software for testing and flashing software on this unique vehicle.
As the project progressed, Optimotive hands-on involvement in the final stages was critical in bringing the first models to market both in manufacturing facility in France as well as UK distribution hub. Their clear organizational structure and comprehensive documentation made them an invaluable asset to the successful launch of this remarkable vehicle.
Beyond the Grenadier Project, Optimotive supported me with their expertise through baseline consultancy services in further startups, including the EV Lifestyle Vehicle by Canoo USA and Hydrogen Light Commercial Vehicle by First Hydrogen Ltd UK.
Optimotive thorough guidance ,and cost assessments laid a strong foundation for these projects, further demonstrating Optimotive value and reliability as a partner.
